Sunday dog walk in downtown Beirut

More than 100 dogs where at that organised event for dog walking.

Cigarettes plate still here, a rarity.

The cigarettes plate often used to be next to the candies or chocolates bowl. I remember when we used to have one of those. 

My mother was afraid of being seen as "not hospitable" when we suggested removing it, late 90s early 2000s , but we did get rid of it as most households around that time.

Hammana Cherry festival

Sunday June 14th we went up to Hammana for the Cherry Festival or Mehrajan el karaz. Here are some photos of the laid back Sunday with the family.

As humans, we often think that we are strong creatures taking over earth. Yet, here it is in the middle of the city, in crowded Hamra, on a building probably a century old or a bit more, nature gracefully taking its place back. And it is pretty.
